There’s something electric about photographing a grand opening—new energy, new faces, and a team buzzing with excitement. Recently, I had the pleasure of capturing the grand opening of Wonder in Baltimore’s Canton Crossing, and it was one of those events that reminds me why I love what I do.
This opportunity came through a thoughtful referral from another DC-based photographer—someone I haven’t met yet but hope to cross paths with soon. Moments like these are such a testament to how supportive and collaborative the creative community can be.
A Warm & Welcoming Team
From the moment I arrived, the Wonder team made it feel like I was stepping into a family environment. Their staff was upbeat, organized, and intentional about creating an inviting atmosphere for every guest who walked in. Photographing them was effortless—they were natural, expressive, and genuinely excited about the opening.
Capturing the Experience
My goal for this event was to blend storytelling with clean, elevated documentation—showcasing not just what the space looks like, but what it feels like. Wonder is colorful, bright, and full of personality, and the images reflect that. I focused on:
Authentic moments between customers and staff
The thoughtful store design and playful details
The opening-day buzz—laughter, curiosity, and celebration
A Space Where Imagination Lives
I’m grateful for the trust Wonder placed in me and equally grateful to the photographer who referred me. Referrals like this not only grow my business—they affirm the impact of the work I’ve been building for over 14 years.
If you're planning a grand opening, product launch, or branded experience and want elevated, story-driven imagery, I’d love to document it. Let’s create something unforgettable!
